For me, making jewellery is a joy and I have been working hard at it now for over 13 years. I count it a blessing that I can incorporate it into my main and most important job, being a mum. I have always adored gemstones and crystals am continually amazed at what nature produces. I particularly enjoy combining them with wirework as it challenges me personally and gives more scope to produce pieces that enhance the stones natural beauty.

  • About Glue

    I don't use glue, jewellery cement or 2 part glues. Any type is designed to degrade over time and in my experience its sooner rather than later. I just don't trust it. So I spend time finding ways to ensure that all my gemstones are carefully and securely wired into my pieces.

  • About Sterling Silver

    I use 925 Sterling Silver wire and Silver filled wire. All UK Sterling is 92.5% silver and the rest is a base metal, usually copper. Silver filled wire is a fantastic and cost effective alternative, it has a very thick sleeve of sterling silver with a copper base, it can be treated and behaves in the same way as 925 Sterling silver. It will not wear off as Silver plate does. Silver gram weight of less than 7.78grams is not required to be hallmarked. Most of my weight is in my gemstones so my silver is not hallmarked at present.

  • Regarding Gemstones

    I only purchase stones from a couple reputable companies who have a strong Ethical policy and strive to closely track stones from the mines to the market place. This is a difficult job, currently there is no established body or formed regulations. The supply chain is complex as stones are mined, cut and sold in different countries. However the companies I use aim to support environmental protection, anti child labour and fair labour practices.

  • Size Matters!

    As I personally make everything, pretty much all of my necklaces, bracelets, rings and chains can be made to measure to your specific requirements, just drop me an email and I will be happy to sort it for you.

    Now this has happened to to us all, we buy online, only to be shocked by the size when it arrives. Please take the time to measure out the size of my pieces as listed in the description before you purchase. A picture can be misleading, especially with jewellery, we have to enlarge in order to capture fine detail.
